Our Story

Originally launching in August 2013 across South Wales, I created KL Parties to provide people with a style of entertainment that, at the time, was only seen on Holiday Parks. Sadly, August 2015 saw the business close as I made the difficult decision to move away from my home and family in South Wales to follow my dreams of being a Holiday Park Entertainer, in Scotland! After 7 full seasons and 5 different locations, in October 2021, I finally decided it was time to leave the world of entertainment behind and focus on my new family I had started in Carlisle, Cumbria. With a job as Deputy General Manager for Buzz Bingo and a growing family, my life began to move on. Fast forward to October 2022, when I realised entertainment will always be my passion, so I left his job and joined forces with my life long friend and entertainer, Craig Dockray to begin the rebirth of KL Parties! Since that rebirth, Craig has returned to Holiday Parks full time in Exeter and I am now running KL Parties full time, regularly touring Holiday Parks across the UK as a Magician & Vocalist, as well as performing locally in Cumbria for Children's Events, Birthdays, Pubs & Clubs.

The main question I get asked is what does KL Parties stand for, let me explain! When I originally wanted to launch an entertainment business, it was my Bamp (Grandad), Kenneth Bernard Tanner, that helped make it possible! My Bamp helped me create and run the business back in 2013, driving me everywhere, helping with costs and so much more. For that reason, I called it KL Parties for Kenneth & Liam Parties, because without him it wouldn't have been possible. He is the person who inspired me the most and I certainly wouldn't be the the man I am today without him. He was and still is my hero. When he sadly passed in July of 2021, it broke my heart and emotionally destroyed me. However, it also filled me with determination to make him proud, to ensure his memory would live on. As a result, when I decided to launch my own entertainment business in Cumbria, I kept the original name to honour his memory and ensure the story of what he helped me build would live on forever.

The original mission of KL Parties was to ensure a "Quality service, at a quality price" and although a lot has changed since KL Parties first launched, the mission remains the same. KL Parties is rapidly growing to become one of the leading entertainment providers in our area with a huge variety of entertainment on offer!
